As a human being, nothing is perfect and it same like Kaplan University Psychology program, from this reviews, you can make your on judgement and decision either you want to enroll or not into this program

Review #1 for Kaplan University Psychology Program

I knew I always wanted to go to college, however, I was not able to go to college straight out of high school.  But I think everything happens for a reason.  I know that now I am more determined to succeed in my education than what I was straight out of high school.  Kaplan University is the best school to go to when you are working full time and want to go to school.  This school is not hard to apply for and the advisors that you get when you enroll are there to help when every you need it.  The professors and fellow classmates are great too.  They help as well.  If you are thinking about going back to school I would suggest going to Kaplan University.

Review # 2  for Kaplan University Psychology Program

I think that Kaplan University is a bad choice for online learining. I signed up for classes a couple of months ago and the representative that helped me enroll was very friendly and helpful. I guess this was their way of pulling me in. Once classes started everything changed. Everything was so fast paced and the instructors expected you to already know things about the course before hand.

One thing that I actually did like about the online learning at this school is that they have like an interactive chalckboard. You could easily see the instructor writing problems out. Another thing that I liked was that some of the classes had sound where you could actually hear the instructor talking.

The disadvantage is that not all of the courses have sound so you actually have to read what the teacher has typed and then you have to think about the fact that other students are typing things in too so it's pretty easy to get lost if one of your classes doesn't have audio. The customer service at this school sucks! If you have to call with a question or concern they'll give you the run around and have you on hold way too long.

If the money from your financial aid doesn't come through on time they will call you every single day trying to collect the money. Overall, I would not recommend Kaplan University online learning. This school is a joke.

  1. Combined with the added flexibility and repayment of online degree programs obtaining a psychology education has by no means been easier. http://psychologycollegefinder.org/degrees/behavioral-psychology

  2. I wish people would realize that an online degree does not mean it's going to be easier. Yes it's more flexible when it comes to juggling work, kids, and school. However, it means you have to be more accountable for yourself. Kaplan University is an amazing school, but it's hard work and it should be. I'm in my fourth term on my way to getting a Bachelors than a Masters in psychology, with a concentration in substance abuse and rehabilitation. All of my psych professors also work in the field of psychology. They know their stuff and they do everything in their power to make sure you understand it to. A lot of colleges charge for extra help in the form of tutoring, not Kaplan; they have free tutoring for every class. The writing center is an incredible tool as well; you can send them your paper and they'll help you edit, and give you advice on how to improve your work. This is not a diploma mill, you have to earn your grades. Out of the 50,000 students enrolled at kaplan, there is only around 3000 people either on the President's or Dean's list. That's not a negative on Kaplan either, because I think a lot of people are just skating by so they have that piece of paper at the end. That's also not Kaplan's fault, as long as they have that minimum grade they have to let those people graduate. You get what you put into Kaplan, and a wealth of knowledge is there for the taking. I did my research before enrolling; I called 26 rehabs, methadone clinics , and hospitals to see if they take someone with a Kaplan degree seriously, and every single one of them said yes. As far as the comments I've read about how horrible the financial aid department is, I have one question, well more of a request. Go find any college, University, or trade school that doesn't have bad comments about their financial aid department...... You won't find any! I highly recommend this school to anyone who is willing to work hard. If you are a lazy individual who has to have a Professor breathing down your neck all the time to pressure you to get your work done, then Kaplan is not for you. Good luck!
